摘要: Occupational stress in higher education institutions (HEIs) needs to be taken into due consideration since it can affect the professional efficacy of academicians. This paper surveys occupational faced by academic staff a HEI Mauritius. A total 245 questionnaires were distributed five faculties and 163 (66.5 % response rate) returned analyzed. Exploratory factor analysis with an oblimin (Promax) rotation was employed two-factor structure JSS which consisted job pressure Lack organizational support supported. The sub-factors namely Pressure, Severity Index found have good internal consistencies. confirmatory confirm structure. Adequate construct validity discriminant present for two constructs.
