摘要: We have previously shown (Bloj et al., 2008; Abstracts Materials & Sensations 2008) that under particular conditions colour memory is independent of presentation media, and the illuminants which colours are viewed. In present study we investigate whether naming also unaffected by these two factors. Forty-eight samples from Natural Colour System (NCS) collection were presented as real paper or accurate computer simulations displayed on a calibrated monitor. The swatches could be daylight illuminant ― intensities, 85 ('D1') 60 cd m ―2 ('D2') purple illuminant, 45 ('Lily'). in arrays 16 (4 x 4 layout) observer's task was to assign one eleven basic terms each samples. Six observers repeated this five times for medium illuminant. On average, 73% cases same term assigned surface display colours. This level agreement highest (D1-82%, D2-73%) poor Lily (65%). Although nature stimulus, here show there limitations cross-media naming.
