摘要: Abandoned mines can pose a major environmental hazard. At the beginning of 21st century, significant steps were taken all around world in order to protect these historically valuable complexes, and mining heritage was recognized as potential for development alternative tourism. This exploration covers Kopaonik Mountain area. Mining on this mountain began ancient times. It has developed throughout history, today only one mine is active. Three abandoned (Gvozdac, Suvo Rudiste Raiceva Gora) active (Belo Brdo-Zaplanina) are subject research. The basic aim research twofold. estimation geo-tourist values performed using Geosite Assessment Model (GAM), ecological status assessment WAS according standard model based negative positive values. Based applied methods, it concluded that (geosites) have high level natural characteristics, differences between geosites evident tourist reason insufficient affirmation availability infrastructure. With status, observed geosites, which also differ from (Raiceva 15 points (Gvozdac). In end, results obtained great scientific importance, their direct application Tourism Development Strategy
