摘要: The electrochemical nucleation of mercury on vitreous carbon from solutions mercurous nitrate in aqueous KNO3 has been studied as a function overpotential and ion concentration. is predominantly progressive the single potential step experiment leads to nuclear number densities steady state rate constants. double potential step complicated by nature largely invalidated resultant dispersion of nuclear sizes. interpretation transients potentiostatic-galvanostatic related pulse trains are also complicated by similar features it suggested that equilibrium non-steady properties nucleating systems are best studied at very small electrodes which single nucleus formed.
