摘要: This paper reports the results of interrater agreement analyses on a pilot special education teacher evaluation instrument, Recognizing Effective Special Education Teachers (RESET) Observation Tool (OT). Using evidence-based instructional practices as basis for evaluation, RESET OT is designed spectrum different needs found within classrooms. The informs what Danielson (2011) maintains are two features system 1) ensuring quality and 2) promoting professional development. In June 2012, six teachers participated in data coding session using to evaluate video observations practice from 20112012 school year. coders received an introductory training OT, whole-group sessions before completing individual assignments. analysis report weak no specific practices, indicating need additional research development repeating group who have in-depth 3) further investigation into components how these might be applied across settings.
