摘要: Pain may be classified as nociceptive or neuropathic and somatic visceral. Neuropathic pain can further subdivided into that due to nerve compression, destruction sympathetically maintained pain. The chapter describes the assessment diagnosis of cause concepts total regular breakthrough Management starts with explanation general non-drug measures. Disease modification runs alongside use non-opioid analgesics then WHO opioid ladder. Oral morphine is main strong used, but indication for alternative drugs routes considered. usually requires adjuvant analgesics. role other adjuvants in certain circumstances described well topical anesthetic interventions.
