摘要: The soluble cuticular proteins of defined anatomical regions from different metamorphic stages the giant silkmoth, Hyalophora cecropia, were characterized by two dimensional electrophoresis. As urea concentrations in 2D gels increased, some larval dorsal abdomen decreased mobility relative to molecular weight standards. This decrease was also influenced pH and ionic strength resolving gel. Clustering into groups, whose members showed similar behavior under electrophoretic conditions, indicative membership multigene families. By such criteria, common families found cuticles with mechanical properties stages, yet there evidence that a single family independently regulated.
