摘要: Observations of corrosion problems in more than 40 water systems over a 50year period have led the author to conclude that modern theory correlates poorly with actual conditions. Except for calcite found on bronze surfaces, pipe from scrap piles showed no evidence thin, coherent, protective scale calcium carbonate even those which positive Langelier index had been maintained.
