Retention mucocele of appendix due to endometriosis.

摘要: Retention mucocele of the appendix is caused by a variety obstructive lesions such as postinflammation, fecalith, carcinoid tumor, and endometriosis. Appendiceal due to endometriosis extremely rare; only one documented case condition has been recorded in literature. We describe young black woman who had abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting. Abdominal exploration revealed small retention endometriotic obstruction at distal segment appendix. No evidence other organs was found. The patient asymptomatic after appendectomy.
