摘要: Objective To determine the prevalence, characteristics, and risk factors for myopic retinopathy in a rural population Northern China. Methods The Handan Eye Study is population-based study of eye disease Chinese individuals 30 years or older. Eligible residents underwent detailed ophthalmic examination including standardized visual acuity tests retinal photography after pupil dilation. Myopic was defined to include signs staphyloma, lacquer cracks, Fuchs spot, chorioretinal atrophy. Results Of 6830 participants, 6603 (96.7%) had gradable photographs at least 1 assessment retinopathy. mean (SD) age 51.9 (11.8) years. observed 60 participants (84 eyes), person-specific prevalence 0.9% (95% confidence interval, 0.7%-1.1%).
