摘要: Mammals have developed effective innate response mechanisms to rapidly identify and eliminate potentially harmful foreign particles or organisms. To be effective, these responses need a system detect pathogens in the tissues, mechanism destroy bodies. A deficiency either detection elimination of leads compromised host. However, excessive inappropriate activation aspect inflammatory can also lead debilitating even fatal diseases. The mast cell is one found most tissues that cause effector phase mobilize leukocytes from vasculature affected tissues. In this chapter, we will highlight evidence cells initiate leukocyte recruitment cascade allergens, infectious agents, oxidative stress, other mediators. Unexplored controversial areas highlighted.
