摘要: This paper analyses the thrust of UK Government’s pension reforms in context system they inherited. The represent continuity with what went before seeking to continue privatisation provision, but herald a new emphasis on pensioner poverty reduction. There is clear broad strategy even though not all fit obviously within it – generous means-tested system, extensive private provision and diminished contributory pension. In long term, this has advantages terms containing public sector liabilities, involves further downgrading principle. It will also affect incentive save for many individuals. Individuals currently benefits be able keep more their savings as result reform. But those outside benefit regime who expect brought into face save.
