摘要: Knowledge on the possible sources of human leptospirosis, other than rats, is currently lacking. To assess distribution pattern exposure and infection by Leptospira serogroups in two main semi-aquatic rodents Western France, coypus (Myocastor coypus) muskrats (Ondatra zibethicus), results micro-agglutination testing renal tissue PCR were used. In coypus, apparent prevalence was 11% (n = 524, CI95% [9% - 14%]), seroprevalence 42% 590, [38% 46%]), predominant serogroup Australis (84%). muskrats, 33% 274, [27% 39%]), 57% 305, [52% 63%]), Grippotyphosa (47%). Muskrats should therefore be considered an important source humans domestic animals exposed this part France.
