摘要: Abstract Selective communication between cultured mammalian cells was detected as selectivity in metabolic cooperation. Whilst the majority of cell types examined (human skin fibroblast, PC13, G3, Don, PyY) showed cooperation at almost all (>95%) their homotypic cell-to-cell contacts, they did not necessarily show such a high proportion heterotypic contacts. Less than 10% G3/human fibroblast and usually less 30% G3/PC13 contacts were observed to be positive for L differed from these other that formed permeable junctions greater (contacts PyY cells) We question why it any two poorly-compatible only small cases. could find no indication this phenomenon attributable heterogeneity within stocks. Time course studies upon PC13 G3 cooperation-positive constant but continued increase over many hours co-culture. In comparing interactions types, manifested difference rate appearance junctions. discuss possible explanations findings.
