摘要: Redox probes are typically constructed by soldering Pt wire to a metal or rod, such as copper brass. The junction between the and rod is often sealed with an epoxy resin hardener heat-shrink tubing. Microcracks (small cracks invisible unaided eye) can form in hardened result incorrect readings. not easily removed, making repairs difficult. Heat-shrink tubing thin, lacks rigidity, be damaged soil. method described this paper used thick-walled, adhesive-lined terminal insulator seal junction. insulators were applied which made faulty easy repair. Two-hundred forty eight marine resin. tested redox buffer solution (Light Solution) usable if they read +476 ± 10 mV. installed 0.76 1.5 m deep ability of provide reliable readings was examined testing selected after mo use all completion study (19 mo). Ten twelve worked satisfactorily, while other two clearly malfunctioned before testing. After completed, 236 240 satisfactorily. These results indicate that construction presented produces reliable, long-lasting probes.
