摘要: The brain is a heterogeneous tissue in which the numbers of neurons, glia, and other cell types vary among anatomic regions. Gene expression studies performed on homogenates yield results reflecting mRNA abundance mixture types. Therefore, method for quantifying gene individual populations would be useful. Laser capture microdissection (LCM) new technique obtaining pure cells from tissues. Most thus far have used LCM to detect DNA sequences. We developed quantify hippocampal neurons mouse using real-time reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). This was optimized permit histochemical or immunocytochemical visualization nerve during while minimizing RNA degradation. As an example, quantified Tg2576 model Alzheimer's disease.
