摘要: Blood transfusion is an integral component of life-saving fluid resuscitation for anemic, surgical, oncological, and severely injured patients. However, there have been well-publicized studies suggesting that blood may harmful side-effects. One possible factor contributing to adverse effects the duration red cell storage prior transfusion. Our group exploring mechanisms a putative “storage lesion”, including measuring modulation immune system or changes in adhesion properties between endothelial cells transfused cells.
