摘要: Blood transfusion is an integral component of life-saving fluid resuscitation for anemic, surgical, oncological, and severely injured patients. However, there have been well-publicized studies suggesting that blood may harmful side-effects. One possible factor contributing to adverse effects the duration red cell storage prior transfusion. Our group exploring mechanisms a putative “storage lesion”, including measuring modulation immune system or changes in adhesion properties between endothelial cells transfused cells. The following review will explore occur during how these might impact pathways are important recipients’ clinical outcome, as well provide broad overview research our performing on topic.
