摘要: We have recently proposed an explanation for the birth velocities of pulsars as resulting from asymmetries due to neutrino oscillations in cooling protoneutron star. A specific prediction this mechanism is that correlation and magnetic fields should be stronger slowly rotating neutron stars weaker those whose periods are less than 1 s. remarkable agreement with data favors oscillation over alternative explanations proper motion pulsars.
