摘要: The earthquake early warning (EEW) research group at the National Taiwan University (NTU) and one technology company have been developing a Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) type of accelerometer (the “Palert” EEW sensor) specifically designed for purpose. In addition to physical properties MEMS accelerometer, main advantage comparing other seismometers is that it relatively very low-cost seismic sensor. We present performances Palert network located Hualien region during two-month experiment. results encourage further implementations MEMS-type seismometer in application.
