摘要: Abstract Phosphorus (P) loading from nonpoint sources is often implicated as a contributing factor to the proliferation of algal blooms in freshwater ecosystems. However, influence subsurface tile drains source P, especially agricultural areas, has received limited attention. We examined importance drain effluent Macatawa Watershed; this watershed dominated by row crop agriculture and into hypereutrophic Lake Macatawa, which connects Michigan. Our objectives were twofold: 1) assess P Watershed measuring concentrations spatially temporally over one-year period; 2) ability stimulate using bioassays with natural phytoplankton communities. During March 2015–February 2016, varied significantly among sample sites (SRP:
