摘要: This international comparative study provides insight in the political-institutional conditions that have impeded and encouraged onshore wind power implementation Netherlands, England German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The extent to which power, as a new energy technology, has become embedded existing routines practices (institutions) society, differs between cases. Rhine-Westphalia, is most successful terms installed capacity, also social acceptance power. Wind developments started form grass-roots initiatives many citizens participated. Over time, became an environmentally preferable source, economic sector, socially acceptable alternative conventional generation. In other cases, historical trajectories been different less successful.
