摘要: Abstract We have studied the electronic structure and investigated synthesis conditions to optimize superconducting properties of binary carbide La 2 C 3 . From calculation based on two different reported crystal determinations, Fermi level ( E F ) is found be located near a local minimum density state (DOS) DOS at varies with slight change structural parameters. These results are consistent fact that sensitive preparation annealing procedure. By careful control deficiency we improved prepare samples showing sharp transition T c = 13.2–13.3 K. Critical fields, H c2 ), estimated from resistivity susceptibility measurement considerably higher than previously.
