摘要: Abstract The chocolate clays commonly comprise a part of the Lower Khvalynian sequence in northern Caspian Lowland and Volga region. mode occurrence varies from continuous to patchy mosaic. All clay deposits are confined Pre-Khvalynian depressions various origins. There several sub-facies distinguishable within facies: mono-clayey (typologic), stratified sandy-clayey silty-clayey. Judging specific features lithology, geomorphic position, occurrence, mollusc fauna composition, radiocarbon dates, represent facies sediments cannot be considered as an individual stratigraphic unit.
