摘要: . Retinoids have been successfully used in the treatment of some forms leukaemia, suggesting that such cells an efficient uptake mechanism for circulating retinoids. Therefore, we studied lipoprotein-associated retinyl esters human leukocytes vivo. After oral load 100 μmol palmitate (30000 retinol equivalents) per square meter given to healthy adults, concentration retinoids was determined. A peak measured after 5 h, which coincided with a plasma. To test whether low-density lipoprotein receptors are necessary postprandial retinoids, retinoid from two patients homozygous familial hypercholesterolae-mia. found these took up at least as much normal individuals, chylomicron remnant may proceed independent receptor. The expression mRNA low density receptor-related protein, is putative receptor, similar patient hypercholesterolaemia and individuals. Six hours vitamin administration, recovery unesterified 71% leukocytes, however, only 9% recovered hypercholesterolaemia. Thus, apparent rate ester hydrolysis markedly reduced patients, indicating different intracellular traffic remnants individuals
