Wide angle negative refraction in fishnet metamaterials

摘要: Exploiting the strong anisotropy of fishnet structures, wide angle and band negative refraction can be achieved. Here, numerical as well experimental demonstration based on 3rd mode under TM incidence has been shown. The origin phenomenon is found in excitation high order leaky modes, which appear periodic structures. These results could interesting design beam steerers, filters or demultiplexers.
