摘要: The question of how the scaling metabolic rate with body mass (M) is achieved in animals unresolved. Here, we tested cell metabolism hypothesis and organ size by assessing resting (RMR), maximum (MMR), erythrocyte size, masses metabolically active organs crucian carp (Carassius auratus). M ranged from 4.5 to 323.9 g, representing an approximately 72-fold difference. RMR MMR increased according allometric equations = 0.212M0.776 0.753M0.785. exponents for (br) (bm) obtained were close each other. Thus, factorial aerobic scope remained almost constant increasing M. Although was negatively correlated both mass-specific absolute adjusted M, it all other hematological parameters showed no significant relationship These data demonstrate that does not describe carp, suggesting may represent general types this fish activity cells decrease as grows. lower than 1 while inactive greater 1, which suggests can be partly due variance proportion active/inactive carp. Furthermore, our results provide additional evidence supporting correlation between locomotor capacity scaling.
