摘要: A study of headwater ecosystems rivers Bergantes, Mijares and Palancia located at the East Iberian Peninsula has been done. To do this first 2.5 km from their furthest upstream source have sampled. Ten sampling sites placed 0, 20, 50, 100, 200, 400, 650, 1000, 1500 2500 m were each river. Each site was visited periodically twice: spring-summer autum-winter seasons. All same river sampled day to obtain a more continuous monitoring data. The main aims that achieved in research are: know aquatic macroinvertebrate communities live these ecosystems; using biotic index IBMWP (OIberian Biomonitoring Working PartyO) order assess water quality; find out physico-chemical characteristics; existent correlation between used parameters analised. Interpreting, with statistical analysis, geographic distribution taxa relation environmental parameters, as well ordenation points species most relevant parameters; use QBR (OQualitat del Bosc de RiberaO) evaluate quality riparian ECOSTRIMED (OECOlogical Status River MEDiterraneanO) ecological status rivers. At Bergantes ecosystem 37 identified. frequent were: Chironomidae, Oligochaeta, Agabus sp., Caenis luctuosa, Eiseniella tetraedra Coleoptera. abundant Chironomidae Simuliidae families, Baetis rhodani species, genus Oligochaeta class. biological indexes used, proved is strongly altered, showing low diversity concerning communities, an important alteration its forest. In general terms, results are obtained consequence farms nearby, throw high quantities organic matter water. summarize, ten studied, three showed very bad quality, one them bad, other six average quality. That why it impossible set up reference ecosystem. 92 Habrophlebia fusca, Nemoura cambrica, Plectrocnemia Limnephilidae, Centroptilum luteolum, Paraleptophlebia submarginata, Amphinemura triangularis, Protonemura meyeri, Limnephilus rhombicus, Mesophylax impunctatus, Stratiomyidae, Heptagenia Capnia rhodani, Leuctra Ceratopogonidae, Isoperla grammatica, Deronectes
