摘要: Abstract Euphotic zone depth (Zeu) plays an important role in studies of marine biogeochemical processes and ecosystems. Remote sensing techniques are ideal tools to investigate Zeu distributions because their advanced observation ability with broad spatial coverage frequent intervals. This study aims develop a new approach that derives directly from remote reflectance (Rrs(λ)) values rather than by using other intermediate variables then reveals the dynamic characteristics Bohai Sea (BS) Yellow (YS). To do this, situ data collected various seasons were first used assess several spectral indicators Rrs(λ) for deriving optimal indicator was determined build retrieval model. model further applied Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI) temporal variations Zeu. The results showed performed well R2, RMSE MAPE 0.843, 4.42 m 17.9%, respectively. High levels generally observed during summer both coastal offshore waters while lowest winter. Changing concentrations total suspended matter, which often modulated sediment resuspension transportation, probably main factor responsible variability These findings provide crucial information modeling primary production, carbon flux, heat transfer, etc., BS YS, as contribute useful alternative will be easily implemented satellite water environments.
