摘要: Various new designs of optical fibers are being developed in pursuing the ultimate performance fiber communications. The current major concerns with design control chromatic dispersion and nonlinearities. This paper reviews status development, such as improved dispersion-shifted fibers, dispersion-flattened so on. Topics related to measurement techniques for nonlinear refractive index also discussed.
