Cloning of Two Novel ABC Transporters Mapping on Human Chromosome 9

摘要: The family of ATP binding cassette (ABC) transporters or traffic ATPases is composed several membrane-associated proteins that transport a great variety solutes across cellular membranes. Two novel mammalian members the family, ABC1 and ABC2, have been identified by PCR-based approach. They belong to group encoded as single multifunctional protein, such CFTR, STE 6, P-glycoproteins. Their peculiar structural features close relationship ABC involved in nodulation suggest ABC2 define subgroup ATPases.
