摘要: Nowadays many different types of networks communicate among themselves to form heterogeneous wireless (HWN). Seamless vertical handover (VHO) between a Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is necessary provide continuous internet access for mobile node (MN) as roaming across these be without interruption. To support the seamless VHO smooth mobility in HWN, network layer protocol IP (MIP) exploited. MIP has several attendant issues such hybrid routing, registration delay, data session disruption during VHO, packet overhead. These occur when packets are sent from foreign agent (FA) home (HA) via tunnel MN moves new which will cause triangle routing. In this paper, we propose scheme stream control transmission (mSCTP) with bicasting mechanism or so- called Bi-mSCTP under overcome abovementioned When an area proposed relies on generated mSCTP signals allocate care-of- address (CoA) corresponding (CN) dynamically before link handover. At same time, it inserts flag inside configuration (ASCONF) chunk inform CN start over both WLAN UMTS links. The system performances were analyzed by using NS-2 simulation tool. results showed that introduces approximately 1.02 2.64 seconds reduction delay performance schemes respectively. It also reduces loss rate more than 21.7 45% compared
