摘要: On September 28th, 2018, a powerful earthquake (Mw 7.5) struck the Island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. The was followed by destructive and deadly tsunami that hit Bay Palu. A UNESCO international survey team responded to disaster surveyed 125 km coastline along Palu up epicentre region. performed 78 runup inundation height measurements throughout coastline. Measured values reached 9.1 m for 8.7 m height, both at Benteng village. also identified ten large coastal sectors collapsed into sea after earthquake. distribution measured data within exhibits clear localised impact suggesting contribution secondary non-seismic local sources generation tsunami. Findings field reconnaissance are discussed provide an insight remaining debated source
