摘要: Primary mediastinal B-cell lymphoma is a locally highly aggressive but poorly disseminating tumor composed of medium sized or large cells most probably thymic medullary origin. It has mature phenotype, typically lacks immunoglobulin expression and variable defects in HLA-molecules. We present here cell line, MedB-1, derived from such tumor. As frequently found lymphomas situ, MedB-1 CD10−, CD19+, CD21−, CD22+, CD23+, CD25−, CD37+, CD38−, CD39+, CD40+, CD54+, CD95+. Like the parental tumor, HLA-A,B,C α-chains β2microglobulin expresses HLA-D molecules at decreased levels. Both are clonally related as shown by heavy chain gene rearrangement analysis. Unlike tissue, line cytoplasmically IgG/κ very small subset under standard culture conditions. does not contain any Epstein-Barr virus DNA. In tissue adhesion assay showed an extensive binding to region normal thymus. Altogether, suitable tool for functional molecular analysis this distinct entity. © 2001 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
