摘要: Abstract Fallow strips are promoted through agri-climate-environment schemes to enhance farmland biodiversity, but their effects on biodiversity-mediated ecosystem services remain poorly studied in different cropping systems. The of fallow biological control bird cherry-oat aphids spring barley were examined a field experiment Finland 2014–2016. Two types sown perennial – grass strip and wildflower compared. relative efficiency pest was tested by monitoring the number experimentally added adjacent fields at distances from strips. Data also collected densities naturally occurring ground-dwelling natural enemies. differed between years. When aphid pressure high, proximity slowed growth population. In year low abundance, sustained more than fields, did not constitute risk for control. second third years, especially supported high activity density predators. particularly both early summer, highlighting role as refuges results suggest that strips, those with diverse mixtures, can promote cereals, thus contributing ecological intensification agriculture.
