Detection of inferior vena cava abnormalities by computed tomography.

摘要: The diagnostically useful computed tomography (CT) findings in five new cases of inferior vena cava thrombosis are reported. These include: (a) inhomogeneous density the cava, usually best demonstrated after contrast medium injection; (b) caval less than aortic density; (c) rim enhancement which may be seen with both and tumor invasion; (d) enlargement if accompanied by at least one or more above findings. A bolus injection followed immediately CT helps to make some described prominent. In selected patients, this should made into femoral vein.
