摘要: Transmission of the two parental alleles to offspring deviating from Mendelian ratio is termed Ratio Distortion (TRD), occurs throughout gametic and embryonic development. TRD has been well-studied in animals, but remains largely unknown humans. The Disequilibrium Test (TDT) was first proposed test for association linkage case-trios (affected parents); adjusting using control-trios recommended. However, TDT does not provide risk parameter estimates different genetic models. A loglinear model later child maternal relative (RR) disease, assuming transmission. Results our simulation study showed that RR this are biased presence TRD; power Type 1 error compromised. We propose an extended TRD. Under model, estimates, correctly restored. applied intrauterine growth restriction dataset, consistent results with a previous approach adjusted control-trios. Our findings suggested need adjust avoiding spurious results. Documenting population therefore essential correct interpretation studies.
