摘要: OBJECTIVE: To determine if urinary 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid (5-HIAA) excretion is of prognostic value for overall survival (OS) in patients with a gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumour (NET) and to compare the patient characteristics, ENETS/WHO grading, ENETS TNM staging biomarkers. DESIGN AND METHODS: Data was collected from NET or metastases available 5-HIAA 24-h urine samples. Laboratory results were stratified chromogranin A (CgA): 10× ULN. For neuron-specific enolase (NSE), this reference range >1× OS compared using Kaplan-Meier log-rank tests, hazard ratios calculated Cox regression univariate multivariate analyses. RESULTS: total 371 included, 46.6% female mean age 59.9 years. shortest >10× ULN vs (median 83 months 141 months, P = 0.002). In analysis, negative predictor (HR 1.62, 95% CI: 1.09-2.39). However, only 1.04, 1.01-1.08), grade 3 disease 5.09, 2.20-11.79), NSE 2.36, 1.34-4.14) CgA 3.61, 1.56-8.34) remained as predictors. CONCLUSION: Urinary OS. when added other biomarkers it no longer Therefore, should be determined assess carcinoid syndrome not value.
