摘要: Electronic waste recycling presents workers and communities with a potential for exposures to dangerous chemicals, including metals. This review examines studies that report on blood, hair, urine biomarkers of exposed metals from e-waste. Our results the evaluation 19 publications found there are consistently elevated levels lead in occupationally non-occupationally populations, both formal informal e-waste sectors. Various other were be different exposure groups assessed using various types biomarkers, but less consistency than lead. Antimony cadmium generally showed higher concentrations compared reference group(s). Mercury arsenic did not show trend among due dietary environmental considerations. Observed variations trends amongst within multiple highlights need carefully select appropriate biomarkers. study concludes is more rigorous research moves past cross-sectional designs, involves thoughtful methodical selection systematic reporting standard ensure can across studies.
