摘要: We present a model of the labor market effects health impairments. In particular, we describe several economic models in which affects worker productivity and demand for supply services. These provide framework estimating social cost prevalent impairments – necessary step conducting cost–benefit analyses determining cost-effectiveness potential interventions from broader perspective. Our approach suggests that measures used literature an incomplete systematically biased assessment impact impairment or treatment illness impairment. The problem arises because reliance on approximation at firm level bias neglect effect shifting equilibrium. If is prevalent, equilibrium wage rates could be substantial. addition, many also ignore producers' surplus. Copyright © 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
