摘要: Background Information on ice hockey injuries at the international level is very limited. The aim of study was to analyse incidence, type, mechanism and severity in men’s tournaments. Methods All International Ice Hockey Federation World Championship tournaments over a 7-year period were analysed using strict definition injury, standardised reporting strategies an injury diagnosis made by team physician. Results 528 recorded games resulting rate 14.2 per 1000 player-games (52.1/ player-game hours). Additionally, 27 occurred during practice.
