摘要: Abstract Entrainment can make an important contribution to recovery in the flotation of fine particles. This paper presents experimental study into by true and entrainment, colloidal silica alumina particles with a size range from 40 160 nm diameter. The experiments were carried out small laboratory column-type cell bubbles typical average diameter about 150 μm. No wash water was used. Cetyltrimethylammonium bromide Dowfroth 250 used as collector frother, respectively. particle concentration pulp 1% weight. In these total low, typically 54% after 50 min. Four techniques, including three previously described literature one newly developed this study, assess due bubble-particle collection mechanism, entrainment. All employed techniques show that proportion recovered quite high, varying 79–86% recovery. also discusses mechanisms minimising entrainment laminar flow regime bubbles.
