Optical fibre transducers

摘要: Light travelling in an optical fibre may be directly modulated by external parameters such as pressure, strain, temperature, etc. Thus the form basis of a transducer involving neither moving parts nor electrical connections. Another class transducers uses means guiding light from monitoring point to measuring where is externally modulated. This paper presents review current status sensors and discusses their future potential.
