摘要: Summary The etiology of Graves’ disease remains unknown. leading current theory considers it to be an hereditary autoimmune disorder both humoral and cell-mediated immunity with production abnormal thyroid stimulators. Uncommon causes hyperthyroidism include autonomous nodules, administration iodine patients nodular goiter, subacute thyroiditis, trophoblastic tumors producing molar thyrotropin, large differentiated carcinomas, struma ovarii, pituitary taking excessive amounts medication. clinical features are described. Subtotal thyroidectomy is effective treatment, but has the disadvantage significant complications which hypothyroidism, rare mortality, hypoparathyroidism, paralysis vocal cords altered voice, recurrence hyperthyroidism, crisis morbidity from wound.
