Electrochemical treatment of dye solution containing C.I. Basic Yellow 2 by the peroxi-coagulation method and modeling of experimental results by artificial neural networks

摘要: Abstract In this paper, the peroxi-coagulation process was used to assess decoloration of C.I. Basic Yellow 2 (BY2) in aqueous solutions. Decoloration experiments were performed presence sulfate electrolyte media at pH 3.0 with a gas-diffusion electrode (GDE) as cathode. Electrochemical behavior fabricated GDE and amount electrogenerated H O on graphite felt surface investigated. The effect operational parameters such applied current, initial dye concentration studied an attempt reach higher efficiency. Up 90% occurs less than 30 min. mineralization investigated by total organic carbon (TOC) measurements that showed 81% 20 mgl −1 6 h. An artificial neural networks (ANN) model developed predict performance efficiency based experimental data. A comparison between predicted results designed ANN data also conducted. can describe under different conditions.
