Discovering distal regulatory elements by integrating multiple types of chromatin state maps

摘要: While the annotation of human protein-coding sequences is now fairly comprehensive, identification regulatory remains difficult. With higher resolution, fewer artifacts and greater coverage, short-read-sequencing-based technologies have made striking impact on genome research. Given rapid accumulation genome-wide chromatin state data, there a pressing need for computational methods to analyze these data. In this paper, we developed Multiple Layer Perceptron (MLP) framework predict transcriptional enhancers by integrating multiple types maps, including histone modifications, DNase I cleavage, DNA methylation. Comparisons with previous work using known from three cell suggest that our algorithm more robust has precision sensitivity. We anticipate new method will be valuable tool mapping various elements in wide variety types, tissues growth conditions.
