摘要: Radiosurgery in the base of skull region can be especially challenging due to immediate proximity critical structures such as brainstem and nerves those optic system. This chapter should guide clinicians understanding technical possibilities, determining feasibility, risks radiosurgery well organ dose limits for primary or repeat this region. Specifically, rare tumors chordomas chondrosarcomas, glomus jugulare tumors, esthesioneuroblastomas angiofibromas are discussed according current literature. Many these quite amenable depending upon histology, size, location. However, ideally, modern techniques (sometimes multimodality) imaging used determine precise tumor-extent prior recommendation radiosurgery, general, larger than 3 cm abutting may benefit more from alternative precision therapies.
