Effects of channel geometry on mixing performance of micromixers using collision of fluid segments

摘要: Abstract This paper shows effects of design factors for micromixers using the collision fluid segments on mixing performance. Design are zone diameter, outlet channel angle reactant fluids, and number collision. We evaluate performances T- Y-shape K–M mixer Villermaux/Dushman reaction. When Reynolds in channel, Re , is less than 200, segment size determined by only geometries, W c significant From results this range, we correlate by-product UV absorbance with effective after collision, e  =  / n . The linearly fitted Thus, expresses total flow rate, can improve performance increasing rates as well reducing sizes, leading to avoid extremely small channels a high pressure drop channels.  > 200, share applied also enhance indicates that throughput be achieved simultaneously.
