摘要: Background: Intimate partner violence and other partner-related factors have been associated with acquiring sexually transmissible infections (STIs) engaging in risky sexual behaviour. The present study examined risk for STIs behaviours among an urban sample of African American women. Methods: women, between 18 29 years (n = 848), participated the at baseline. Participants completed a 40-min Audio Computer Assisted Survey Interview assessing sociodemographics, HIV/STI-associated behaviours. Subsequently, participants provided two vaginal swab specimens STIs. Results: findings indicated that were prevalent this sample: 35.6% reported partner, 65.4% inconsistent condom use 17% tested positive laboratory-confirmed STI.
