摘要: In this paper a periodically driven, bistable system with additive noise is considered in the overdamped limit. Here we have adopted probability density of residence times as tool for dynamical studies on system. We contrast to body previous work, area now known ``stochastic resonance,'' wherein power spectral was preferred physical quantity. It shown, both by analytic theory and analog simulations, that has detailed structure reflective inherent symmetries Closed-form expressions are developed distribution function well several averaged quantities interest. emphasized all our results predict observable quantities, which then demonstrated measurements simulator.
