Semiclassical eigenvalues for potential functions defined on a finite interval

摘要: It is shown that the usual WKB quantum condition for one‐dimensional potentials should be modified problems defined on finite interval (a,b) by adding ’’correction’’ ΔV (x) = (h/2/8m)[π/(b−a)]2/cos2 {π[x−(a+b)/2]/(b−a) } to actual potential. Numerical application shows a considerable improvement over (i.e., unmodified) equation.
